Makeup is known to cover imperfections and provide you with a beautiful look. The average person that wears makeup is from the age 9 years old and beyond. We get great beauty tips and inspirations from Kim K West to Rihanna or when we purchase products from Bobbi Brown to Covergirl. However, makeup is just one asset that makes us feel beautiful- it’s your inner beauty that should shine though.
Everyone’s beauty routine should start with building self esteem. I built my confidence and shine through great people in my life. My mom always encouraged sister and I to practice our smile. My dad gave us great advice on being independent and to never hold your head down. And my grandma always told us to “be sweet.” Which meant to be kind to others and make smart decisions.
How do you discover your shine? Your shine is how you feel on the inside and how people perceive it. When people see your shine they should see a person with confidence and purpose. Most importantly beauty starts with you. Start your beauty routine with 3 great assets: start day with a smile, great posture and your poise. Look in the mirror and smile. A smile returns a smile. Smiling shows you’re kind and it captures people attention. Your shine starts with great posture. Never hold your head down, sunken shoulders, or slouch in your chair. Stand strong and sit classy. Last, how do you carry yourself, your poise? Whether your classy or edgy let your walk and your steps be fierce.
So before you start your routine, remember, it’s not about the make up that makes you; it’s how you feel about self. Shine bright and be confident; make up is just the added bonus.
